I reached out as a first time client based on the reviews and photos I found about Joey and Maverick's barbershop, falling perfectly in line with what I was looking for: someone who had precision scissors skills. I have worn a short textured pixie cut for over 30 years. I have gone to everything from Short Hair "masters" and and well known stylists and never have come close to the phenomenal cut I got from Joey. More than his incredible skills, was the amazing customer service. I reached out for an appointment and indicated that the following day was my birthday and I was hoping for an appointment sooner than later. Immediately his wife answered and booked me the following day. I found out after the fact that they normally don't book at the time slot they gave me, but he made an exception for me as a first-time client and I cannot tell you enough words how appreciative I was that he did that for me. The entire time in the chair, Joey listened, but moreso he explained in detail every step of the way, the entire process not only what he was doing, but why. Joey has a wonderful personality, and his wife was so kind and sweet and accommodating that there are not enough good things I can say about Mavericks. I walked out of the Salon with such a huge smile on my face as you can clearly see in the picture! It's one thing for people to complement you on a great haircut but when you actually feel beautiful when you look in the mirror, that's priceless! Thank you Joey and the Mavericks team.“
