All of our nursing staff has been exceptional. My mom has been so sick but everyone went way above and beyond. Special shout outs to Toya, Matt and Stacey on the 3rd floor and Jose (nurse lead) in the emergency department. Just everyone!!! All so helpful and sweet. They made a really terrible experience not only bearable but really alleviated a lot of the stress involved with being in the hospital for 4-5days.
I delivered my first baby here on 10/29/24. I was scheduled for an induction and had no idea what to expect. My L&D nurse Ashley was so great. She was personable and eased my fears. The anesthesia staff, Dan and a student were excellent. They coached me through the epidural and I was less nervous about that as well. Dr. Campbell and another nurse whose name I can't recall supported me while I delivered. I was coached through that as well as having my husband there. Once my baby boy came into the world, we were transferred to the mother baby unit. The unit was clean, quiet save for distant cries of newborns. The staff at WRMC was great. Everyone was super attentive and were always checking in to make sure I was ok and comfortable. A very very special mention to Angela ( ICU nurse), Jennifer (ICU nurse), Brooke (ICU nurse) and Brenda (room nurse) and Emily (Housekeeping). They went the extra mile and made the entire experience a comfortable and pleasant one.
