As someone who suffers from severe dental anxiety, I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such compassion and care as I did at Weeki Wachee Dental. From the moment I was taken back for my X-rays, my emotions overwhelmed me, and I couldn’t hold back my tears. Instead of brushing it off, the staff was patient and understanding, giving me the time and space I needed to feel comfortable. The assistant was nothing short of incredible, offering words of encouragement and reassurance throughout the entire process. When it was time for the root canal, I was understandably nervous, but the dentist explained everything thoroughly and worked as quickly and gently as possible when administering the Novocain. They also provided nitrous oxide to help me relax, but unfortunately, due to my congested nose from crying, it didn’t have the intended effect. Although the numbing helped, I still felt it might not have been enough for my personal needs. For those like me who struggle with severe anxiety and sensitivity, the lack of anesthesia options at this office may mean considering alternative offices in the future for sedation services. That being said, what stood out the most was how the entire team made me feel cared for—not just as a patient but as a person. They genuinely went above and beyond to ease my anxiety and make an otherwise stressful experience manageable. If you’re looking for a dental office that truly understands and supports patients with dental fears, Weeki Wachee Dental is the place to go.
