I had already ordered some window coverings of various styles before I was connected to Chelsea at In the Shade. She made making other design choices (paint and wallpaper) fun instead of overwhelming for me. She came up with great ideas that fit our personalities to make this house feel like our home. When the first company was unable to finish the job for which I had paid them, Chelsea stepped in. She and her colleagues came to the rescue. Their professionalism, knowledge and expertise in ordering and installing plantation shutters on french doors was astounding compared to my first experience. Nearly 20 years ago my mother purchased beautiful, vertical Hunter Douglas blinds from In The Shade. A few days ago a few of the vertical veins came undone. We figured there probably wasn't much we could do given the age of the blinds but decided to stop in at In The Shade to inquire if it was possible to repair older blinds, or find out if it was time for replacement. To our surprise the incredibly helpful and professional staff at the store informed us that there was a VERY easy fix for our blinds and provided us with the simple peices needed. Now the blinds are repaired and as good as new! At no point did the store try to push us into buying new blinds... read full review
