“Marybeth owns the shop. I appropriately put her name in my phone as…Marybeth, Hair Guru. I had somebody take a AI picture for work and after having kids, I kind of let myself go. Both my kids are in sports. They’re both gifted. They’re in advanced classes. I’m a nurse practitioner so we have a lot going on as everyone else does in the world. However, I kind of neglected my hair and I used the box colors for many years cause I just said I didn’t have enough time but it’s important as mom‘s and dad‘s to make time for ourselves. Parents do a lot and it’s a good rule of thumb to take care of yourself so your kids can see that you love yourself and respect yourself. It’s good to teach your kids to take care of themselves and you can only do that by what you do, not what you say. My hair was a hot mess and I showed Marybeth the picture of the AI generated (catfish pic I like to call it) and I told her just do your magic and she made me look so beautiful and better than the AI picture! I started crying and I forgot who I was for such a long time. I know this sounds very emotional but my hair looked amazing! With the right cut and the right person…Marybeth made me feel like a brand new person. She’s not only extremely intelligent, she is also a world traveling, compassionate & a kind individual that listens and really wants to make you feel beautiful. I would recommend her to anybody! I don’t give a lot of reviews out, but she made me feel very special and my outer appearance now matches the very public and forward facing career I have. I’m very thankful for her and her knowledge & experience. She also told me to get certain hair equipment available on Amazon - a 2-in-1 brush & straightener and showed me the clips to get to section my hair because I grew up with all men and being a girly girl just wasn’t in my childhood lol. She spent a lot of time with me and I really appreciate her very much and I have a follow up appointment already booked. I was running a little late because I had a patient that had a medical issue, I called to let her know I was on my way cause I think it’s very rude when people are not appreciative of other people’s time and she was not irritated with me at all for running 10 minutes late. I try to be very respectful of other people‘s time and she was ready for me and listened and it was a great experience. Marybeth is really good at what she does. You won’t be disappointed. Michelle at Savvy Sister Salon is not only incredibly affordable, but she is truly amazing at what she does. From the cut, to the color, to the styling, I was completely blown away by the results.

I moved here from New Jersey years ago and have been searching for a hairstylist ever since. Unfortunately, I’ve had one bad experience after another with other stylists in Florida. I’ve had my hair burned, cut horribly, and styled so poorly that I felt embarrassed walking out of the salon. Those experiences left me so fearful of letting anyone touch my hair that I avoided haircuts for years.
