I paid Eldridge's Design Center $350.00 to remove smelly carpet from the house I was buying in Sebring. I had not moved from Broward County yet so I could not monitor what was being done. I mentioned to my Realtor that I thought $350.00 was a lot of money to remove carpet and she told me the reason was the carpet had to be cut up and taken to the dump. Although Mr. Pollard did spray the floor with pet cleaner like I asked him to, he bagged up the stinky carpet and left all of it, like 20+ bags in my garage. About a year ago my mother went to this place to buy flooring for her single wide mobile home.
I was a bit upset when she told me it had a $4500 price tag on it but her money her choice.
So they came right away and started the job after an inspection from them making sure nothing else was needed. Shortly after starting the job they decided she needed a $500 repair to the floor before they could put the laminate down. So now the bill is $5000.......
Within a few months the floor was bubbling in places so my mom called the store and explained the situation. She was told they would send someone over.
