About two/three years ago I contracted with this company to install a metal roof. The cost was high but I wanted a local contractor with a reputation in the neighborhood. It came down to two. I chose Bilco primarily because he worked out of his home and I thought he could use the business. The work wasn't fully completed for about a month but I was OK with that. Now I had a piece of corner flashing that came off and I was worried about a possible leak. I called BIlco three times and left three voice mails in which I explained the problem. Although I did not state it in the voice mail, I was willing to pay for him to come back and fix the problem. Not one of my voice mails was even acknowledged. I eventually had to pay someone else to fix the flashing. So much for standing by your product.

This place has terrible customer service. I accepted a bid for a job two months ago and was told that someone would come by and pick up the paperwork, no one has come by. Tried to contact the owner who makes excuses. I asked him to bid another job for me and he has yet to get me the estimate for that after 2 weeks of trying to have him send it to me. Definitely do not recommend.

I hired this company to replace a roof in 2006 or so. It was the housing boom. We’d just bought a rental unit, and it needed a roof in order for the bank to finance it. We needed a company that could work fast. I think the realtor knew of Bilco, and shortly thereafter, we had a roof and they even waited until closing to get paid, if I recall correctly. Fast forward 11 years, and I am in need of a roof again on another house, so I call Bilco. Once again, they’re responsive where other companies were not. Bilco got out the same day and gave me an estimate. Other roofers didn’t make it out for days or wanted you to hold their hand while they walked around...read full review
