Over the weekend I walked into the emergency room for Northside hospital my blood pressure was extremely high they immediately took me and I was short of breath next morning I found out I had pneumonia this hospital did everything for the next 3 days to make certain I was comfortable well-fed and properly diagnosed I would recommend Northside hospital to anyone that needs to go into the ER.
I especially want to give a shout out to my Nurse Vinh... He went above and beyond
I was very ill with uncontrolled asthma and pneumonia. Dr. Furtado and the team were terrific. Particularly he and Izzy and the respiratory tech. My pulse ox had gone down to 92. I was admitted to ER stat,put in a bed ,drip started, Dr. Furtado came in,evaluated and described his plan,plainly and clearly.
breathing treatment, iv steroids,oxygen ...chest xray.
I felt cared for,safe and was treated with dignity and respect.
Dr. Furtado put me on a tapered dose of Steroids, I was already on antibiotics, this plan has worked very well and I now feel better. My asthma is under control again and I was referred to a pulmonologist.

I had severe cramps and abdominal pain at 3 AM and couldn’t sleep, so I checked myself into the neighborhood ER. I am so thankful I went. Kista and Jackson nurse the CT scan tech, the X-ray tech, the doctor, and everyone on the team at Northside Hospital on 54th Ave N & 49th Street were absolutely amazing.
Usually when you go to a hospital, they just do what they need to do and send you home, but this team truly cared and made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I am leaving overseas soon, and thanks to them I now have peace of mind.
