St. Francis accepts used pillows for recovering raccoons to snuggle in. They are also looking for extra fish or meat for the owls and hawks
What a blessing it is to have a place such as this to answer calls to guide and handle a situation of a newborn abandoned deer in our yard. Not knowing how the deer family works, we were advised by an extremely knowledgeable gentleman ( perhaps Zach) that provided the typical actions of the deer mothers, post birth, and he was spot on. We waited and kept eye that the mother would return (he gave us the location to take it if was abandoned) and as he stated, she came back for him. Thank you
My son found a wounded bird, and they treated the bird. They had veterinary staff who were prepared to give wild animals treatment.
