We are very impressed with the service we received from Swift! We just bought a home that has an Rheem electric water heater with solar assist. The solar was working but it isn’t enough to heat the water alone. The breaker for the water heater was tripping and we couldn’t make it stay on. SO, since the sellers included a Choice Home Warranty we decided to use the warranty. It took 4 days (granted there was a weekend in there) and the tech named Jordan, that showed up from Gator Plumbing and Drain didn’t arrive until 4pm on Monday. Jordan told us it was more of an electrical problem due to his work order, and said he wasn’t trained on a solar water heater. He opened the lower panel of the heater and said it was all corroded. But said we’d have to get an electrician to fix it. He then asked for the $65 co-pay for the Choice Home Warranty agreement. What a joke! So, that evening we got online and searched for a plumber in the North Port area (reading reviews) and filled out the online request for service on Swift Plumbing's website. Swift Plumbing has an appropriate name because they were swift in their response and provided estimates for replacing the heating element and one for a new water heater. There are NO surprises with this company, they tell you up front! Fred from Swift Plumbing was AWESOME! We decided to replace the water heater and get rid of the solar assist (as we learned it really doesn’t assist enough to pay for itself). Being new home owners with solar assist for hot water, we appreciated expert input. Fred is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and wasted no time removing the old unit and installing the new one. He also waited around until the heater was producing warmer water before leaving. We highly recommend Swift Plumbing. We won’t hesitate to call them for all our future plumbing needs.
