I found Dr. Melgey and Chrystal Lake Animal Hospital based on a recommendation from FL Shar Pei Rescue website page a little under two years ago. I have two Pei siblings, anyone who is familiar with these dogs understands they have unique health needs. Dr. Melgey and his staff have been exceptional with their care, they are always accommodating and very knowledgeable about breed specific ailments. I am grateful to have found Dr. Melgey and highly recommended his practice. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur babies!

This place is awesome! All the vet techs are so friendly and personable and the longest I've waited here is maybe 10 minutes. The veterinarian is very good with the animals and their people. Plus they will work with you and they accept care credit. All animal hospitals and their staff could learn a thing or two from this place. Thank you Crystal Lake Animal Hospital! All the workers are very comforting kind and helpful they have great table side manners and can help calm you down in a stressful situation the vet is very blunt and forward but respectful through every process and provides decently affordable care
