Plantation Floors is the result of three-and-a-half decades of being in the flooring industry. My passion for flooring started in the early 80’s. My first job was working in the warehouse of Dick Curry & Sons. Mr. Curry took me under his wings and molded me. Overtime I was able to master various skill-sets and expanded my responsibilities to carpet installer. In the late 80’s I ventured on my own and opened McKinney Carpets; a remnant and roll store. The store was based in Pompano Beach, FL and after 8 years of operations I sold it to follow my passion – golf. “Good player but not yet tour material”. Then a wife and three kids later “Reality” set in. I quickly went back to what I knew best, installation and remodeling!
