I used to go to Sager Eye care because it is close to my house. Today I called to make an appointment and was told they dont accept my insurance anymore. I normally buy glasses that are not covered by my insurance so I asked if the last pair I bought had any insurance discount. The lady told me she could not tell me on the phone and that I need to come in. I do not suggest a place that does not answer questions on the phone.

As a photographer my eyes are my main photographic tool. Maintaining my eyesight is very important. A friend recommended Dr Sager and I'm glad I went to see him. It was probably the best eye exam I've ever had. Dr Sager is a very thorough and understanding doctor. He addressed my concerns perfectly resulting in a new prescription that worked like my previous one. My last doctor totally screwed up my prescription, glad I kept my original glasses. Dr Sager's staff was very professional, helpful and courteous. They even let me use my own frames, I like my look. I'd seen Dr. Sager for a few years and stopped during COVID. Just after COVID lifted I went in for an eye exam. I'm glad I did as Dr. Sager spotted a condition that, left untreated, could have rendered me blind. Following surgery in both eyes at Bascom Palmer, the future is, indeed, brighter with thanks to my surgeon, Dr Sarah Wellik, and most important, the diagnostician who spotted the issue, Dr. Sager. I can't recommend him and his team any more than that.
