Ok I know what Im about to say sounds Crazy but Dr. Harrell who works at Plant City Walmart Vision Center is an Incredible Doctor. The unbelievable part is he is an even better human being. About 3 years ago my then 20 year old son was diagnosed with keratoconus. My son is autistic so this diagnosis was doubly hard. He literally lost his vision and his right eye overnight. Well for a year we got nothing done because of the horrible eye doctor (Company)we were sent to. Then we finally got a hold of the insurance company and they sent me to another eye doctor. We found out that with this diagnosis it's extremely hard to find it eye doctor who knows how to deal with it....read full review
I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Harrell at this Walmart for your Vision needs. He is one of the best Optometrist out there. I have been his client for over 25 years. Always a pleasure with him and he is honest.
I needed glasses and someone suggested Walmart. I was sent to Dr. Stuart Harrell for an exam first. What a nice man. He was friendly and personable and made you feel very comfortable. He was so thorough and even though he had people waiting, he took the time to speak to me and explain everything to me. That really meant a lot to me. I felt like he really cared. Not easy to find doctors like that anymore. From there I went to look at frames and get pricing on lenses. I spoke to Omar. He also spent the time to explain my options and asked what type of lenses and if I needed anti glare etc. He was so nice and so helpful. They had a great selection of frames starting at $9 for frames and going into designer frames. My only slight complaint had nothing to do with the doctor or employees. The doctor (optometrist) and vision center are a ways away and I passed up the optometrist because all I could see was a sign at the distance that said VISION so that is where I headed. I had no need to need to look for anything else. It would have been nice if they were next to each other or at least a little closer together rather than running back and forth. But Omar was kind enought to physically walk me over to the door of the doctor to make sure I found it. It only had a small sign by the door that said optometrist. Not sure if its the cheapest place around but if having a doctor that cares and having good service is important to you, than its well worth the little extra you may have to pay.
