When I bought my home five years ago, it came with a beautiful, mature 50+ year old laurel oak that shaded my entire yard. She was already at the end of her life, but we pruned her as long as we could…until she finally became a real hazard.
I reached out to several reputable tree companies, but the quotes I got were outrageous (I’m convinced they just didn’t want the job).
