My Mother-In-Law has been experiencing horrible pain in both of her knees, and we initially took her to a specialist in Virginia. The patient and their needs came first. Dr. Eduardo Luis and his staff at UrCare were very professional. The whole process from checking in to seeing the doctor was smooth and efficient. Luis performed an initial exam, and he offered a new treatment PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). This new treatment is a concentration of platelet cells taken from your blood, and these platelets have growth factors that help in the healing process of chronic injuries. Growth factors are chemicals that signal the body to initiate a healing response. Dr. Eduardo Luis carefully went over the entire process with my Mother-in-Law and explained to her everything that was involved with this treatment. My Mother-In-Law decided to go with the procedure that day, and the whole process was about two hours from start to finish.
