Alina is an outstanding instructor who brings not only deep knowledge and clarity to the classroom, but also genuine care and growth for each person. From the very first class, it was clear that she is fully invested in our development.
What sets Alina apart is her ability to create a learning environment where we feel encouraged to challenge ourselves. She is thoughtful, and always available to help, whether it’s through one-on-one support, extra resources, or simply checking in on how we’re doing.
I've lived in this area for 20 years, yet I've never really paid much attention to the Y until my kid, now 13, wanted a membership so we joined. She also plays sports there now as well. I like the facilities. It feels modern enough. The bleachers can push back towards the wall to create more floor space, the basketball nets can lift into the ceiling to make way for volleyball. The coaches are young and the kids probably feel more comfortable because the coaches can relate to them. They have classes for people like myself who don't know how to work out with equipment. I don't think their pricing is as affordable as what I would have expected based on what I remember of this organization from when I was a kid. But I guess that since everything is included then I suppose it's worth it if you plan to use it all. The front desk staff are either super knowledgeable about the day to day operations or they don't know ANYTHING. Lol! But they will at least try and get answers for you and that's all you can ask for. It's a decent size facility with decent looking equipment. Overall, it's a nice family oriented facility with activities, classes and equipment to suit everyone and I'm glad I live so close.
Alina M. is a fitness instructor that’s so “genuine, nice, and good at explaining things” that she’s absolutely made my Grandma’s experience at YMCA. She’s so passionate and excited about these classes due to the instruction. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Alina!! You deserve a raise and a half :)
