Here to check in on someone. Very very tight parking lot but they do offer complimentary valet. The security check in officer was pleasantly informative and quick. We entered the surgical waiting room and ate complimentary muffins (great) and coffee (eh). The staff alerts your cell phone by text. I highly recommend this hospital since it was clean and was run very easy.
This is the best hospital I have seen. An excellent hospital is not just the Doctors that make it. It is the all around staff. The staff at this hospital from the cleaning crew, the food servers, PA's and nurses are the best. They are all so friendly and efficient. They make your stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this hospital to everyone .In my opinion it tops Memorial Regional 10 times over. No waiting in the hallway when you go to the emergency room. No lying in a bed all night in the emergency room.
**I went in for the ER.** Well for starters, I was not given a room for privacy. I was on a gurney, in the hallway next to the break room. It was so uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure the other patient that was there heard my whole story, so there goes the "patient privacy". I had to take off my bra for an x-ray (mind you I'm in the hallway, out in the open). It was so embarrassing for me. The person that did my x-rays is so unprofessional. Calling me out on my nipple ring, that he saw through the x-ray photo. He couldn't even be discreet and gone on with his job. After the guy left, I had to find a way to discreetly put my bra back on under my sweater. On top of that, a nurse took out blood from me for more tests, from the iv port, LEFT without even flushing the blood back in. She just disappeared. I was there with my blood just hanging out (I have a photo) for 15 minutes before another nurse saw it and flushed my iv port. What's crazy is that about 5 other nurses saw my arm, going in and out of the break room, and they all ignored me. It took a real nurse (white guy with Hebrew lettering tattoo), that cares for patients, to take care of me. The female nurse that was assigned to me is so LUCKY that my blood didn't coagulate in that iv port. Don't get me wrong, she was very nice and sweet. But she was having "a blonde" moment at the wrong time. She should be more aware with what she does with every patient she has.
