Dr Nelson is a wonderful vet. The concern and caring attitude of her and staff assistant Wayne are a refreshing change from the corporate, cold veterinary factories that dominate today. Dr Nelson has that sixth sense that only an experienced professional can possess. Sometimes your pet can tell you by the way they act and respond to a great Doctor. I called early with an urgent request to examine our new Maltese and cat for FLEAS! The gracious lady who answered the phone and squeezed us in that day turned out to be Dr Nelson herself! We have always taken our pets to local Schools of Veterinary Medicine, but U of Florida is FAR away! So after reading studying Yelp carefully I picked Dr Nelson-- a single Practioner practice, small / personal. A graduate of Ohio University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr Nelson is thorough, HIGHLY informative with depth, knowledge and years of experience.
