On 12/28/23 I had a new patient consultation with Maria Cabasos, ARPN. From the moment I walked into the office to get checked in and up through checkout, the level of professionalism, patient care, etc. was absolutely horrible. The check-in staff was short to the point of being rude. I was asked to complete the new patient paperwork (emailed) prior to my appointment and arrive 15 minutes earlier which I did but then had to wait almost 30 min to be seen. When I was finally called and shown into an exam room by the nurse I started to explain the reason for my visit & concerns. The nurse immediately cut me off and started taking pictures of my face when that was not one of my concerns nor visit. In addition she did not even bother to explain the reason for the pictures but said to continue my conversation (WTH)???? As I tried finish my my conversation I was cut off AGAIN and told Maria will be in shortly. Needless to say I was completely shocked how I was treated especially being a new patient. Thinking the nurse was probably having a bad day (still not excusable) I waited for Maria, ARPN to come in. When Maria did come into the room I immediately knew the exam was going to be just as bad. She did not ask any questions, proceeded to check out my face and NOT the area of my concerns (knee, elbow and overall skin condition) and the proceeded to tell me she was taking a biopsy of my nose since she wanted to out rule any issues. When I finally had enough I asked her about my issues which, of course, she barely glanced at the area. Said she would call in a prescription at my pharmacy and the other items I could buy at Walmart and Amazon. Never discussed what was causing my reaction, what the prescription or other items were for AND when asked how I should care for area where she took the biopsy...she handed me a PIECE OF PAPER and said the instructions were there...UNBELIEVABLE!!! As she was walking out she told me to set up an appointment with an aesthetician to address my skin care!!!! When I checked out the staff immediately told me there would be a $40.00 charge for the appointment with the aesthetician and nothing else. I was so shocked, angry, and wanted to tell them exactly how I felt about their staff and medical providers but I refused to lower myself to their standards. In all my years working in the healthcare industry, being an HR Director in the EMS division for Orange County, as well as being a patient myself dealing with many different healthcare providers, I have NEVER SEEN or BEEN TREATED with such a lack of PROFESSIONALISM, PATIENT CARE or EMPATHY. Parks Dermatology Center in Port Orange, FL is by far the worse practice I've ever had the unfortunate luck of going to. THEY TREAT YOU AS NOTHING MORE THAN A NUMBER and can't wait to GET YOUR MONEY AND OUT THE DOOR SO THE NEXT CASH COW CAN JOIN THE RANKS!!!! NEGATIVE 0.1 RATING

Hitler must own this place with mask requirements. As a current patient you get treated like you never been there before and want to give them money. Heaven forbid you have an issue and try to walk in. Easier to go to the moon. Not everyone in Ormond Beach is retired and can work around there schedule.Time to find a good friendly dermatologist.

I have been going to Dr. Parks for MANY years! He does the best Botox of ANYONE that I've ever had it done by and I've had it done all over the country when I couldn't fly in to have him do it. Unfortunately, he is no longer taking Botox patients. His time is spent only in the operating room now, so they tell me. :( I've also personally heard nothing but great reviews of people that have gone to him for other procedures as well..
