Finding a good tattoo artist is like finding a good doctor: once you find one, you keep them. The shop itself is top notch, with a comforting quirky mix of professionalism and creativity that you’d expect in an artsy place. You’ll find cheaper places in town, but not better, and when you’re looking at tattoo art you really get what you pay for.
Canada, who has become our family artist (my wife and daughter have also been inked by her), is brilliant. She has simply amazing technique, has an extensive artistic background, and is a real collaborator in the process. She has done the best work I’ve ever had and plan on quite a few more tattoos.
Amanda is by far one of the best artists I’ve ever worked with. I’m on my fourth tattoo with her, she’s always gone above and beyond to make sure I’m happy with the design/ placements and colors. All of my tattoos with her have healed and maintained their color beautifully. And on top of all of that her personality is cool af!! A forever client <3
I got tattooed by Amanda at built 4 speed and she rules ! She did a custom kewpie doll for me and was super communicative about details and what would work and not work depending on placement / size. I felt very comfortable in the shop and she made it an overall lovely experience. She was patient when I needed a couple breaks , I love Amanda ! Need to get back in asap.
