Based on the reviews, the Ocala VA Clinic has a mix of experiences. The doctors, nurses, and technicians are always professional and caring. Many find the clinic exceptional, with on-time visits and patient attention. Some staff members, like Hope, are described as a superstar for superior customer service, and Dr. Nunez is noted for positive changes. However, the check-in staff is described as the worst, bored, and unfriendly. The clinic is also described as forever short staffed and utilized to the maximum extent. Some patients wish the clinic were open on Saturdays or at least until 6:00 on weekdays. Overall, while the professional staff is good, the check-in process and limited hours are areas of concern.
I always have GREAT Experiences when I go to the Ocala VA Clinic. Yesterday was my yearly eye exam and as always very satisfied! The entire team from start to finish was very professional and always is! While waiting in lobby, the other Veterans always talk very highly about coming here and to all the VA Facilities, I wish there were more than 5 STARS I could leave. THANK YOU VA!
Check in staff is worse in my decades of VA care. Bored, unfriendly , seem to want to draw unemployment. Professional staff and other personnel staff are good. Management beware this is your Achilles heel, I wish I I had my former service from St. Mary’s Ga.
Had an appointment 16 January 2026 with optical. Megan and Dr Merijivar did my exam. This office is exceptional. Visit was on time and the attention to my situation was much appreciated. I didn't retain the lady that fitted my glasses, she was extremely patient and helped me get frames. My experience at the Ocala va have been the best.
