Explaining to her that wearing mascara and fake eyelashes was a huge trigger for me, she worked with me until I couldn't feel my fake lashes, so that I wouldn't just pull them off after photos. I felt beautiful all night without obsessively messing with my eyelashes. Although that might seem like something so insignificant to most, for me, it meant I was able to enjoy the evening, celebrating my sister and brother-in-law rather than going to the bathroom every 10 minutes to mess with my eyelashes or having my eyes watering all night because they were uncomfortable.”
