A few years back I started spending a few months in Florida each year. Needing a hair stylist here, I started asking and looking at reviews. Thankfully, I found Emily and Twisted Scissors on my first try. No need to look further. She understood what I was asking for and the results were perfect. I always look forward to seeing her when in Florida. She is the best stylist I have ever had, and I wish I could take her back to NY with me.
Emily has been cutting my hair for 4-5 years and I have never left the salon dissatisfied. It took me a couple of years to find her and no one but Emily will ever cut may hair again. She cuts it like I want it.
I have been going to Emily for several years now and couldn’t be happier. She listens to what you say before doing anything. And she really listens! I have my hair colored and highlighted and she is excellent at both. My hair has a tendency to be reddish, which I do not like and Emily figured out exactly what to do to give my the hair the dirty blond color I wanted. I recently went back to a short style and was concerned that the back of my hair, which is tapered would be one color on top and another on the bottom. This was definitely not something I wanted but what my previous hairdresser had always done. Emily blended the back so it looks perfect…no 2 distinct colors.... read full review
