Viera VA Clinic is a busy facility that provides prompt, friendly, and efficient service. Patients report positive experiences with the great people from clerks to nurses to doctors, everyone is caring, kind, and professional. The clinic is clean and well-maintained, and appointment wait times are generally manageable. The staff has always has a smile from the time you walk in the door upon seeing the greeters to the schedulers, nurses and the doctors. While some patients have experienced delays due to the clinic's high volume, they are overall satisfied with the care received. Their care is good and they have helped them so much not only with medical care but PTSD.
Making an appointment is so hard here. Tried calling three separate times on different days for different appointments and nobody picks up. Cannot make a sleep doctor appointment online with Viera clinic. Getting my 1st appointment here was ridiculous- made an online appointment and nobody contacted me so I had to walk in and make the appointment. WTF is wrong with the VA? The inefficiencies are mind boggling.
It's close to home where the Care has been excellent. The staff has always has a smile from the time you walk in the door upon seeing the greeters to the schedulers, nurses and the doctors. It is a Clinic so the surgical staff is still in Orlando. If needed shuttle busses run round trip twice a day to Lake Nona VA Hospital in Orlando.
Although Viera VA isn't perfect and there is room for improvement they have help me tremendously my care is good and they have helped me so much not only with medical care but my PTSD. I am a combat veteran and appreciate the help of VA. However they used have Peer support specialist I could talk to and groups like depression groups, PTSD, anger management but the VA did away with these groups which were helpful. I don't understand why they would get rid something that would help veterans, they only know. Hopefully these groups will comeback and improve the quality of life for veterans.
