I was here for a workshop and didn't have the luxury of waiting to get in at a fancier spa. Since I did not want to rent a car, I was looking for something that was not too far from the Convention center. The location for Zhen was perfect, but when I arrived I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling from the meh storefront. When I got in my room, I wasn't a fan of the fact that that they use towels instead of top sheet. Off the bat, that made me a little skeptical of what I might get. They also charge you up before your massage which is not typically what I am used to. So asking me to tip ahead was off putting. I don't know about you but I don't just give tips unless I know I had good service. The owner, said something about having to charge me extra for another transaction on my cc, and that also did not feel right to me. That said, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by my massage therapist Elizabeth. She asked for my feedback and was receptive to what I said. She did a great job. I am very pleased with the service I received and would recommend this place. It's not fancy, but it is professional and my therapist did exactly what I asked for. She gets gold stars for her communication. I would give the Spa higher marks if they charged at the end of the experience and starting using sheets top and bottom instead of towels. Honestly, I would not hesitate to recommend Elizabeth.
