We purchased many doors and windows from ID&W over the years, and are very happy with the customer service and product support that this company provides. Layne and Ty always respond quickly to any questions and requests, and the products are of high quality.

I went to Island Doors and Windows for a double hurricane replacement patio door. I was told that they don't come to measure and make estimates but that if I sent them the dimensions, they would give me an estimate within two weeks. I sent the dimensions the same day. Two weeks later, he called with questions and said he would get the estimate to me within two days. Two weeks later I called again and left a message, then another two weeks and left another message. Never received a call back. I was telling this story to a neighbor who suggested I just look on the door and find the manufacturer and call them. I found the manufacturer who had great customer service, was able to look at the doors via connected video, watch me measure, and find serial numbers, etc. with my cell phone. In the end, they sent me the parts to repair the door which would have cost $6,000 to replace and I did it all for about $800. The doors now look and operate like new. So, if you're trying to work with Island Doors and Windows to replace and having little luck, check the side of your door for a plate with the manufacturer's information. Maybe they can help you with much less hassle and cost!
