About SandyPines Hospital
SandyPines Hospital is a healthcare facility that has received a variety of reviews from patients and their families. Some have shared positive experiences, noting significant progress made by their children during their stays, credited to the amazing staff and therapy. The facility is recognized for its caring and attentive staff, who make patients feel loved and supported, even during challenging times like Thanksgiving. However, there are concerns regarding the paraprofessional staff, with reports of chaos and inconsistency in care. Issues have also been raised about communication between clinical staff and unit staff, as well as concerns about minor boundary issues. Staffing levels have been a topic of criticism, with some feeling there are not enough staff to adequately care for patients. The food quality has seen improvements since the arrival of chef Ron, but it remains a mixed point of feedback. Overall, SandyPines Hospital offers a blend of positive and negative experiences for its patients and their families, highlighting the need for knowledgeable therapists and better communication.

My son was in Manatee. He made tremendous progress on this unit. He attributes this to the" amazing" staff of the unit as well as the therapy.
He had medical issues come up which were promptly handled by the nursing staff.
The only critiques that I have is some minor boundary concerns as well as poor communication between
the clinical staff/administrative staff/casemanagement and unit staff.
I would and have recommended this program.
