“Why aren’t there more stars?? Had a crisis with an AC unit 5 days before leaving on a trip for a month in 100 degree weather. Danielle was BEYOND helpful over the phone. She consulted with a tech and called me back and had me check a few things while she was on the phone. VOILA!! A simple fix. AC running like a champ!

“Our air conditioner went out in the heat of a Florida August. I had never heard of Land's Heating and Air, but a friend who was working at the house, upon hearing the extremely high estimate from another a/c company (a bid which was almost exactly TWICE what Land did it for), introduced me to Land.I didn't know him from Adam, but arriving well after work-hours (as a favor to his friend), he took plenty of time to see if, indeed, my old compressor was blown. When he confirmed that it was, and then estimated that he could get a new a/c in by the end of the week (everyone else was at least another 2-3 days more), I was impressed!Long story short, while Land sent me an estimate the next day, I didn't even hear back from one company. Another company (who was brought in late to the process, and who also demonstrated competence and excellence) could not get to the matter until after the weekend. So we went with Land.He said that he'd be sending his men in to prep the job the next day. I know that some contractors say such things, but then fail to follow through. Not only did his men show up, but they showed up early. He and his men worked on the A/C until, I suppose, 9 PM (there was a lot of additional wiring, etc., that had to be done to convert our old, worn-out a/c to the upgraded one). Once it went "live," it has run with perfection.I typically get "good-enough" service. I appreciate it, but I seldom take the time make a public comment. But for that rare receipt of world-class service--or, for that matter, for horrible service--I tend to feel the need to say something.In a nutshell, the owner and the work were clearly of a superior caliber, and I wouldn't hesitate to give him my highest recommendation.“
