Mayo Clinic Primary Care is a large, in-demand practice serving patients from both the US and overseas. The main campus facility is noted as being very clean, with staff described as helpful, efficient, prompt, and professional. There are many professionals available, which can allow patients to get seen quickly for a semi-emergency, such as securing a radiology appointment the same day. The practice is guided by the founding philosophy that "the needs of the patient come first," aiming to provide the best patient care. However, there is a known backlog of appointments, and it can be difficult to break into the Mayo system. As with any institution, there are better and worse practitioners, requiring some patient research. Some reviews express frustration, noting that the practice is not perfect and does not perform miracles. A specific point of caution involves lab work for yearly wellness visits, as tests have sometimes come through à la carte at a high cost; some patients now get a paper script for bundled tests to take to an outside lab.

I have been coming to the beaches primary care office for a long time. The facility is always very clean, the staff very helpful and efficient. I like that there are many professionals to see there, so you can USUALLY get into someone quickly if its a semi-emergency. The only thing to watch, and this may be true for many medical practices, is the lab work on yearly wellness visits. For some reason, Mayo tests came through ala carte and cost a fortune the first time. I don't know if that has changed, but I now get a paper script for the bundled tests (CMP, CBC, etc) and take it to Quest.
