Sun Clean Dry Cleaners is a long-standing dry cleaning business. Many customers have used their services for years, with some stating their clothes always come out perfect and noting the great job, speed, and convenience of the beachside location. The business offers helpful and responsive customer service, keeping detailed records to locate items. A pick-up and delivery service is available, though experiences vary; a previous driver was very personable, but a newer system and driver have led to some complaints about items being delivered wrinkled and placed on the ground instead of hung as requested. However, there are significant criticisms. One customer reported that dry cleaning did not remove body odor smells from multiple garments, even after specifically mentioning this goal, and felt this limitation should have been clearly communicated upfront. Another noted that while generally great, they have had a few shirts damaged or destroyed and were still required to pay for the service, which was disappointing. Prices have also increased over time.
I brought some blazers in there to be cleaned and mentioned how they aren’t dirty, they just smell like BO… “okay” they take my clothes… I pick it up and drop off 3 more items, well when I open up the 1st piece I noticed it still smelled like BO pretty bad… so I when went in to pick up my 3 other items I mentioned this and she said they will try again. Then I figured before I leave I should smell the 3 I just picked up, well they also smelled still…. And then I’m told that dry cleaning doesn’t take away smell. Haha like seriously…? I just don’t get how this wasn’t mentioned to me or just a blanket statement made when taking in a new customer…...read full review
I really appreciate the pick up and delivery service offered by sun cleaners. The prior driver had a number we could text and was very personable and asked about delivery preferences, etc. They recently changed drivers and implemented a new system to request pick up, which I initially thought would be great as I get a prompt text asking if I need pickup on the days they are on my route. However, I've been disappointed as the new driver has stopped hanging my return items on the chair I have out front and simply throws them on the ground when they are delivered. Everything is wrinkled. What is the use of a deliver service if I have to be home to ensure my items aren't damaged when they come back?
Have used this place for 15+ years & in general they do a great job & R always faster than I need. Have had a few shirts damaged/destroyed & I still had to pay to get them back which was disappointing. Like everything prices have gone up but the quality & convience of being beachside is worth it....
