The preventive maintenance took about an hour which seemed about right for checking out the various components of our A/C system. I had been disappointed elsewhere, but I appreciated the technician clarifying what he was doing and not discovering anything incorrect straight away.
When he began dismantling the A/C system, he explained each step, which calmed my initial skepticism due to a prior negative experience with another company. The process took most of the afternoon, and he meticulously separated each component before diagnosing the issue with one of the coils.
Compared to the last company I called, their technician seemed knowledgeable right away and resolved the issue with my HVAC system in about an hour by replacing a faulty capacitor. It's been running smoothly for several days now, so it looks like the fix was effective.
