Jon is great! I have a very nervous, reactive dog that is afraid of strangers, especially men, due to a traumatic past. Jon was very sympathetic to my dog and was not at all judgmental about his behavior. We went on a walk around the neighborhood and got hit with it all - strangers, barking dogs, and even the mailman. Jon gave me pointers on how to act and calm my dog and it worked! It's still going to be a long journey with my dog but Jon gave us the tools I need to finally get a confident, calm dog after 5 years of trial-and-error. I highly recommend Jon for dogs with reactivity issues!

He was very helpful with helping me understand how to make my pitbull exactly what I want him to be, sweet, calm, and disciplined. I will most certainly be reaching back out to John if I ever need anything help with my pup again! Couldn’t have been nicer to my baby boy, Ochoa!

USING COMPASSIONATE, POSITIVE, FORCE-FREE METHODS: THE MODERN APPROACH TO CANINE BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT Positive-Only methods involve building a lasting, lifetime relationship of trust between the human and dog, it means making it fun for the dog to learn and do what it is asked to do. This is accomplished by teaching the dog to ‘WORK” for a reward, which is either a treat, a favorite toy, or simply playing with you! Dogs see any type of attention, affection, activity or treat as a reward for a job done. It is much easier and repeatable to train a dog using positive-only methods than by the old methods, because the dogs enjoy doing the task and will respond willingly and much more reliably to their training!
