I obtained two bids for a large re-roofing job on my home. Both bids were comparable in price, but with the first company, probably the largest roofing contractor in this area, I met the foreman who then sent in the bid via email. Nothing wrong with this, but with the second company, Seth Moystner, owner of Generations Roofing on Racetrack Road in Fort Walton, came himself and worked out his bid by talking me through the options. Sometimes you just know the person you are talking to is a no-nonsense straight-shooter, honest as the day is long. That was my first impression of Seth, and it just went up after that. He did absolutely everything he said he would do. Even more; when all the material dropped in my yard and his 13-man crew already on the roof, my wife saw white flashing she was unhappy with. It was my oversight, so I casually mentioned to Seth I hoped the gutters would cover at least some of the flashing. I thought no more about it; two hours later Seth showed back up after locating some special-order material with an attractive color – it turns out the person making the special order had backed out. Boom! I was out of the doghouse. Even more, his thirteen-man crew was absolutely the most professional team I have ever seen on any jobsite. All of them treated me and my wife like the customer. For example, with material on the ground everywhere typical of a re-roof, they stopped, turned off their compressors, and helped me roll my two trash cans out to the road for pickup. Amazing people! Whenever you are ready to get bids on your roofing job, you really should have Seth come out and talk with you. You’ll see what I mean.
Thank you so much to Seth and crew for helping us feel more safe and comfortable in our home. We felt immediate relief knowing our roof was sealed with hurricane season on the way. There are not enough 'thank yous' that we can extend.
