“After reading these reviews, I’m a little stumped. Let me give my honest review- here it is…Complaints first: a little long of a wait from the classroom to behind the wheel training. If you fail your test at the end of your 11 scheduled drives, you will have to pay $175 for each retest you take. You will not be given another drive or practice time to square away any skills needed to pass the test, unlessYou pay $100 for every extra hour. Lastly, there was a little long of a wait between my test and retests.My recommendation: how bad do you want your CDL? This school gives you all the materials you need to succeed, but, they will not hold your hand and just give you the CDL. You have to do your part! If you have certain needs or requirements as a student, contact Ruth (program director) or Kathy. They are more than willing to work with you. They are very kind and professional. But no one can help you succeed if you don’t communicate your requirements and do your very best! Come in ready to learn and most importantly listen! Some instructors have a different teaching style, and that may not mesh well with your learning style! Give each instructor your best, if you do well with one, tell Ruth. You have to listen to their instructions; they will prepare you to pass the test. In my experience, I was told everything I was doing that was wrong or would cause me to fail, and was instructed as to what was needed to do in order to pass. For me, having several instructors throughout the course of the curriculum aided in my progression and helped me to better assess my performance on the various components of the exam. Practice, and come prepared. They hold up their end of the bargain!My overall review: this is a good course. You will get your CDL if you are set out to succeed, but expect to work for it! The honest truth, not everyone is cut out for the work or the difficulty of driving a tractor trailer. Be honest with yourself and your limitations, but hold yourself accountable if it’s not for you. This isn’t easy and if you think it will be, you may want to reconsider? But if you are hungry and passionate for this, don’t think twice, you can succeed here and will be put in the driver’s seat to do so. Best of luck to whoever reads. And thank you Sage.“
