By far the best dog trainer in fortlauderdale kate the owner works above and beyond to accomplish the proper training for what your dog needs. She fully learns your dogs characteristics and properly trains your fur baby to its fullest potential! I wouldn't rather take my babies anywhere else I worked with her for multiple of my puppies and she has exceeded my expectations!

We started researching dog trainers and facilities months before bringing our puppy, Stella, a blue Great Dane, home the day before Thanksgiving 2021. I read all of the five star ratings and reviews of Kate Smith, owner and trainer of Pawz-itive Dog Training, and I reached out to discuss their offered services. I was immediately impressed by Kate's knowledge and dedication to dog training. We spent literal hours together over the phone and via text for two months prior to our puppies arrival. Who else would spend so much time, their valuable time, consulting with someone who in the end may not chose to utilize their services? Kate Smith did. That sealed the deal for me, we knew that we would entrust the training of our new baby with Pawz-itive Dog Training. Stella came home to us the end of November at two months old. Kate said that we should let her acclimate to her new home and family and we would get started with her training the end of December. We brought her in to meet with Kate and she spent another hour plus with us at her facility discussing her observations of Stella's personality and we put together a 21 session game plan for her training. She was gracious and allowed us to break up the training package price into several small monthly installments instead of insisting on payment in full. Again, a testiment to her dedication to her students and their owners. I doubt that any of her so called competition would be so flexible. Kate has several highly skilled trainers on her staff. We met Keta Reno, trainer (and also Veterinarian student) at a puppy socialization class the following week. Stella immediately bonded with Keta and it was clear that the Keta had an instant connection with her as well. We decided that she would be the one to take the lead on the journey of training Stella, and, us as well. Both myself and my wife Lisa started out as nervous, helicopter Moms. We had tragically lost our 2.5 year old Great Dane in February of 2021 to an aggressive cancer and were nervous about our new baby. Keta has such a deep and intuitive understanding for both dogs and their humans. We started out with two sessions a week for the first couple of weeks and then moved to weekly training sessions. We were amazed at how Keta and Stella's bond and connection deepened, and, by how quickly Stella was learning. Our confidence grew as well and we soon stopped our hovering behaviors! Keta's approach was thoughtful and consistent. Each week Stella's confidence grew. She quickly learned to come, sit, down, stay, heel, to stay in certain spots within our home and out in the real world. Keta held several of Stella's sessions at two of our local parks (Holiday Park and Hugh Birch State Park). Stella is completely neutral around other people and dogs. We wanted to spend one session working on us being able to eat in front of Stella without her begging and being up in our faces. That was all that was needed, one session. Now, when we sit down to eat, we guide Stella to her "place" and she sits and waits until we are done. Stella has earned her S.T.A.R. Puppy and Canine Good Citizen status before the age of eight months. She will earn her Canine Good Citizen Advanced status next week, also at eight months. Yes, our dog is brilliant, but, it's to the credit of Pawz-itive Dog Training, led by Kate Smith and to her outstanding trainer Keta Reno. We will have one session remaining of the 21 sessions. We've decided to keep that last one for a fun, agility session when Stella is older. If you are thinking of making the investment of time and money to help your dog reach their potential, look no further, Pawz-itive Dog Training is the best of the best!
