I came to FLL to rent a car and wait for 2 rescue dogs from St Croix to arrive. I would be picking them up around 1 am and starting a drive to Wisconsin to their furever homes. While waiting for the girls to arrive, I began reading my car rental fine print. I had mistakenly rented a car that was not allowed out of Florida (I just verified it was unlimited miles, never thought I wouldn’t be able to drive it out of state). I had to grab a hotel room and stay a few hours til the rental place opened back up that morning at 8 am to return that rental and make my way back to the airport for another rental.
