John was fantastic! He knows the area extremely well and showed us around the island. When we decided to seriously consider a move from Illinois, we told John what we were looking for and that to move we had to have all of the boxes checked. He listened. That's right - he listened. A home was coming onto the market and he let us know prior to it's advertisement. We were able to get into the house that day and made an offer. Before we left town, we were set. The mortgage process was very difficult for us. My partner is self employed which complicates the process. John stayed on top of the paperwork for us, making sure we didn't lose the house because of some error on our part. This allowed us to concentrate on getting the paperwork together. He communicated with the seller and the lender simultaneously and kept us in the loop! We had such a hard time when we first arrived. We were in a hotel, living day by day, waiting on the lender to check the box. John offered us a room! He is super! We finally got the loan worked out and headed home. When we arrived, John had left us a wonderful Welcome Home gift. I was so surprised! I knew it was heartfelt becuase that's who John is.
