So i hesitate to leave a bad review normally but today's the day. I got a fence last may or late April. I got an email with a quote. Well 2 weeks later when I got a visual estimate I was told oh.. I thought you said wood. I said nope this email says vinyl has gone down in price and yes you are correct this is for the white vinyl you requested. When it came to my cash payment I was told it'd be a few hundred more. He apologized n said let me call my boss. He said I'm sorry but I'd lose my job if I gave it to you for that price. UPDATE 9/21/24 - Dave's Fence contacted me after posting this public review to offer to fix the panel for no additional fees. The gentleman who came to actually look at the fence, and the gentleman who came to actually repair the fence were both very nice and pleasant to work with. The repair is beautiful, as was the initial work done by Dave's.
INITIAL REVIEW - Dave's put in my fence about 5 years ago, and this month, I learned that one of my 4x4s broke, causing the fence to lean and bowing a panel, including causing several of the upright pieces of the panel to detach. Overall was a decent price, and install time line. Was professional. However a section was leaning after a hurricane. And it would lean to the point of the rail breaking out and losing pickets. We got the whole, storms are not covered, but they did come out and straighten it. Well, every storm it kept doing it.
After a few years of this, we decided to just dig up around the post to see what was going on. Well, there was a big root on the one side of the post, and there was no concrete down there. We cut the root out and put concrete down on that side. It never had an issue again. So basically they were lazy at install and did not properly concrete the post down.
