“I’ve been coming to Imbue since 2016, shortly after moving to Florida. Back then, I was blonde — and not just any blonde, but that tricky creamy, ashy shade that’s so hard to achieve without ending up with gold or brass tones. Kate was the only stylist who could get it perfect without damaging my hair. Over the last year and a half, I’ve gone through a huge personal transformation — I lost a significant amount of weight, and between postpartum hair loss and the physical changes, I lost about 50% of my hair. I’m not exaggerating — my hair was once so thick my bun was the size of a grapefruit, and after the loss, it was down to a clementine. Having always had thick hair, this hit me hard, especially since I never experienced any type of hair loss on this level with my other pregnancies

I decided to stop bleaching my hair altogether, and one day I casually said to Kate, “Why don’t you make me a redhead?” She was instantly on board. On transformation day, I kept my eyes closed the entire appointment, and she filmed my reaction when I finally saw it — it was incredible. Kate’s understanding of color is unlike anyone I’ve ever met.

Soon after, we decided to add extensions. Kate’s color match was spot-on, and Daniella — who does my extension installs and adjustments — is meticulous and truly takes her time to make sure everything is perfect.
