My husband and I were fortunate to learn about Altman-Long. From the first point of contact, we were treated professionally and courteously. They were very respectful when meeting with us and through phone conversations. They did not treat us a just another customer but as a family member. They addressed the cremains as Miss—— and that meant so much to my husband and I. All three (John, Joe and Miss Gertrude) have a beautiful spirt and a soothing and calming voice. My husband unexpectedly passed away after a very short battle with an illness recently. After calling one other Funeral Home & Crematory on the list provided by the hospitals Hospice staff, our second call was to Altman-Long.
My family and I remembered that Altman-Long Funeral Home and Crematory was right here in our City.
They were very plesent, provided us with what our cost would be, no added surprises or additional costs and no pressure to add anything we didn't want or ask for. They handled everything with such care, respect and compassion that a family could ask for, even over the phone.

When my husband died recently, we were so fortunate to have chosen Altman-Long from a list of suggested funeral homes provided by hospice. From the first time we met with them to agree to use their services, to his removal, cremation and memorial service, everything was handled with the utmost care and compassion. Everyone we met was working to make a very difficult time as comfortable as possible.
Their rates were reasonable, stated up front and there was never a hint of pressure to take options that would cost more, even suggesting less expensive options if they existed and would be satisfactory.
