Dr. Ian Tafel is an amazing neurosurgeon plus his staff is so linked in to his methods & procedures that there were no dropped balls along the way. I had a Lumbar 1-5 fusion which is quite a big surgery. With the 2 rods, 10 screws & 4 disc replacements, it was an 8 hour surgery. Halifax Health 5N Neuro unit was wonderful and I had to spend 6 days there. Preoperatively the scheduling & clearances with Health Insurance was handled so well & post operatively, the care was perfect. The Home PT, the Bone Stimulator & post op visits were carefully managed. I am at 10 weeks post op & can’t give anything but 5 stars to Dr. Tafel & his ARNP Andrea. I became a patient of Dr. Ian Tafel by chance when I went to the ER. I am new to this area so, I had no recommendations. I sure got lucky! He fixed my neck up! He and his entire team were professional, kind, and personable. I highly recommend him!
I have been a patient of Dr. Krafft for 17 months. Dr Krafft, his PA’s, Dimitri and Brittany are the most knowledgeable, patient, sympathetic, understanding Doctor I have ever seen. They all talk to me as a person and make sure that I understand all that is going on, including any procedures or surgeries.
The entire staff at UF Health Neurosurgery at Halifax treat you with respect, dignity, and care. My experience with the surgery scheduler, Meghan, is absolutely wonderful.
I would 100% recommend Dr Krafft and UF Health Neurosurgery at Halifax for any neuro needs.
