We hired Savory Roots to cater our wedding on 11/16/24, and our experience was top notch! From the delicious food to the professional and friendly service, they greatly contributed to our amazing wedding experience (and that of our guests). We and our planner worked with Megan to design an incredible menu and make sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. When our first private tasting did not go as well as we had hoped, the owner, Melanie, promptly responded to our concerns and offered a complementary second tasting, where we were able to finalize our menu. We greatly appreciated Melanie's professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to make sure we were not only satisfied, but excited, for our wedding menu. At and after the wedding, our guests were raving about how amazing the food and service was. We also greatly appreciated the care that they took to accommodate our guests with allergies (tree nuts, celiac) and other dietary restrictions. We highly recommend Savory Roots!
For the past three years, the local nonprofit I work with has chosen Savory Roots to cater its annual fundraising gala, and it has been an exceptional experience each time. Savory Roots offers a wide variety of delicious food, but what truly sets them apart is their staff. They are consistently professional, attentive, and work seamlessly with our venue and other vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly. Their coordination and attention to detail make a significant difference. Melanie Armstrong, in particular, was amazing. She supported us through every step of the planning process, and her suggestions were truly invaluable. In addition, the food is outstanding. We especially enjoyed the Tomahawk carving station this year—and trust me when I say you absolutely MUST order the bacon-wrapped dates. They are phenomenal! I highly recommend Savory Roots for any special event or gathering.
We chose Savory Roots for my daughter’s wedding and they were amazing! The staff was incredible and so on top of things. I highly recommend them for catering your event. I regret not getting any pictures of the buffet but we had mini chicken and waffles, shrimp cocktail, shooters of tomato bisque and mini grilled cheese, and caprese skewers for appetizers and salad, rolls, broccolini, Mac and cheese with toppings, parmigiana crusted chicken, and flank steak for the main course. We added a s’mores bar that blew all of our guests away. The food was AMAZING and the service was equally AMAZING! Thank you Savory Roots for an amazing experience.
