“My friends and I have always had good experiences here, everyone has always been very helpful and welcoming. However, earlier today I went in to ask about a piercing that might be rejecting and another piercing that I was thinking of getting later on. The lady that greeted me at the door told me that the piercer would be able to quickly see me, I said it was alright and waited a few minutes before it was my turn. Not even a full 5 minutes into my conversation with the piercer the lady that had greeted me interrupted and told me that I needed to finish up because there was another family/group that had been waiting over an hour to be seen. I quickly apologized to both the lady and the piercer and said I could come in tomorrow and left feeling a little embarrassed. I understood that there wasn't too much time for me as I was only there to ask a few questions but I feel like this comment was a little rude and unprofessional to tell a customer and that it's something that could've been said to the piercer privately.
I want to make clear that the piercer herself was very kind and knowledgable and told me she'd be there tomorrow if I wanted to come in. I also don't think this experience alone speaks for the shop or the people there overall, I was just disappointed with my interaction today. This is still a great place to go to for tattoos/piercings and would recommend to friends/family.“

“Great Oak is an amazing tattoo shop with the most whimsical and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone there is so helpful and always making sure to make the customer comfortable. From the beginning of my tattoo journey of speaking with Lizzie, to actually sitting with Pooka and having my tattoos come to life, they make the process so easy and pleasant. Pooka is an amazing artist with years of experience in her craft and every piece she has done on me comes out better than I could have imagined. She takes a basic stencil and turns the tattoo into a work of art. I could sit in her chair for hours with how gentle she is! I’ve also gotten pierced with Celeste and she has the most gentle hands ever! I was so scared to get my conch done as I’ve had bad experiences with previous cartalidge piercings but she talked me through it and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.
