“So where do I even begin… I’m definitely a “short story long” kind of person, but I feel like this experience deserves every word I can give it.

For over two years, I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to get a home back in my name after losing it during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I’ve gone through endless payments—inspections, attorneys, title work—and have been physically, mentally, and emotionally drained by the process. I was finally about 90% done with the purchase when another obstacle appeared: a pest inspection came back positive for severe wood rot.

The damage was so bad that most repair guys wouldn’t even show up. The few that did became visibly nervous about the amount of work it would take and either ghosted me or tried to inflate the cost beyond reason. I started spiraling, terrified that the repair wouldn’t get done and the home wouldn’t be marketable—meaning I’d lose my chance to buy it.

In a last-minute twist of fate, I decided to reach out to Cory, the owner of Temple Fitness, to vent my desperation and ask if he knew anyone who could help. Within 24 hours, Cory got back to me and connected me with Peter from PMB Handyman Service.

From the first conversation, Peter was different. He didn’t just “listen” to my problem—he actually heard me. He used logic, common sense, and kindness to assess the situation instead of adding unnecessary “extras” to the job. He treated me and my husband with respect and understanding, something I can’t say I experienced with other contractors.

Repairs that others said would take a week were completed in just one single day. Peter and his team repaired the joists, subfloor, closet floors, hallway floors, and even re-insulated the bottom of the house. They capped off the leaks that caused the wood rot to begin with—all for less than half the price I was quoted elsewhere.

Because of PMB, what felt like an impossible roadblock became a turning point. They opened a door that had been slammed shut by endless red tape and “too big” estimates. My dream of owning this home again is now back on track.

Not all heroes wear capes—some wear a tool belt and carry a hammer. And while you don’t need to cast a bat signal, you do need to make a simple phone call and tell them your problem. PMB will show up, get it done, and treat you like family.

I don’t hand out compliments lightly. But Peter with PMB Handyman Service have my highest recommendation, my gratitude, and my trust. ?
Any repairs I need on a home he will be the go to guy from this day forth!“

GC Construction Contractors

“My wife and I planned to retire to Florida. We purchased a lot on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We had plans drawn up and began our search for a builder. After narrowing our list down to four builders, we met, spoke, and reviewed their work. Being a former builder, I had high standards and high expectations. John Corbin and his team from GC Construction was hands down high above the other builders. John was able to take the job and we couldn’t be happier with the results! His knowledge, skill, and abilities combined with his personal, professional attitude, honesty, and a clear vision of how to build our home delivered on everything we desired. He made recommendations that made our long distance building less stressful. He came in on-time and below budget. We would highly recommend John and his team to anyone who is about to build or remodel. John Corbin is THE 5-star builder⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

Tew Construction Co Contractors

“My husband and I have been living in our newly built Tew Construction home for one month. We are the first in this line up of new spec homes on our street. We were told by several people that Tew has a solid reputation for craftsmanship and integrity, so we had a measure of confidence going in. We did not expect to buy this home because we were hoping for a 3-car garage, but found ourselves comparing every house we saw to it. We know a few people who have purchased from large-scale builders where their homes looked nice and modern at first blush but were riddled with problems of poor construction. We have family in the construction and real estate business so our standards are probably above average. Tew does not build fast-track, slap-together homes. They build a few at a time, and the quality is superior to any mass-produced home as we have confirmed living here.We are on a half acre, with generous space between our neighbors. The home itself is designed with flow, spaciousness and simplicity in mind. As with a custom home, it has many luxurious features like soft-close cabinetry, low-maintenance beautiful stone and tile surfaces, 10-foot ceilings, low-e, tilt vinyl windows, luxury lvp flooring (a must with kids), and many high quality finishes. We have two kids under age five and durable, easy to maintain features like these are a must for us. But it’s more than just aesthetics, it’s the design and construction itself. There’s no question of the care, meticulous detail, and pride that this family-owned company puts into their work.We are able to run our A/C at five degrees higher than our last home, which speaks for the quality and soundness of this house. This translates into a big savings of energy. The interior living and dining area is an open concept yet the home is very quiet and peaceful because it is soundly built. Our checklist at closing of a few minor things was addressed immediately and completely. We felt the negotiation and final walk-through was very satisfactory. To say we feel pleased and thankful that we made the investment in this home is an understatement. Instead of discovering after our purchase things we just have to “live with” as others we know who purchased new homes, we wake up every day impressed and enjoying the excellence of this beautiful, impeccably-constructed home. 110 percent recommend Tew built homes.“
