The Women's Centre for Excellence is known for its great staff and physicians, providing a decent environment for women's care. While most employees receive praise for their professionalism and knowledge, there are some mixed experiences with specific personnel. One patient highlighted a negative encounter with an Asian MA, who caused discomfort during a procedure, while another MA was commended for her attentive approach. New patients have expressed anxiety about appointments, but staff members, particularly at the front desk, have been noted for their kindness and ability to explain processes clearly. Overall, many appreciate the continuity of care and long-standing relationships with the team.
Over all it’s a decent place to have your women’s care at.There is just one employee that I cannot deal with, an Asian MA, I’ve had her twice and she’s neglected what I’ve told her twice in terms of causing me pain when applying pressure to my stomach to find my baby’s heart beat. There’s another MA that will move around the monitor to find the heartbeat and she is awesome! But this other one, just presses it deeper and deeper into my pregnant belly until I have to tell her to stop that it hurts.
For context, I've struggled to find a good OB/GYN for a LONG time. I've had terrible experiences before and it made me not want to go in to take care of my medical concerns. Luckily, the women's center for excellence was the place I chose to try next. I was familiar with the women's center in Orlando - not the best experience - but I decided to give this one a chance. I was incredibly impressed from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable, the nurses and doctors are also extremely comforting and made me feel like they actually cared. I can hands down recommend this place to ANYONE, it was an amazing experience and they took my concerns seriously and quickly. I don't write a lot of reviews but I saw that this business had only 1.5 stars when they deserve so much more. (I work in healthcare, so I understand how negative people can be). This place is a hidden gem, I will continue to go there for as long as I live in Central Florida.
I’ve been going here for a couple of years now and I just turned 21 so I’m due for some new exams that I’m not used to. I was pretty scared walking into my first appointment because I wasn’t aware of what was expected. Maricela at the front desk made me feel very comfortable and did everything she could to explain the process and accommodate to my needs. We need more people like her.
