“Great small business to support when McCorporations are taking over in every sector. Our vet says he's one of two non-corporate vet clinics in the area, which is sad. We enjoy the dojo's location and their real-world fighting approach to teaching karate.“

“Very competent. Very reasonable price. No mcdojo vibe at all. I was an inch away from signing up.... but in the end, I need my bjj and striking to be strong at the same time. So I searched and searched and researched. I found a ton of fake schools with joke blackbelts and worse instructors. Finally, I settled where I am. I'm not gonna call them out here directly because I'm here to give these guys their props. If you want to learn reputable bjj right here in Palm Harbor, you need look no further. Unfortunately, if you are like me and really need to keep up with both, you are gonna have to range pretty far to find a place that can do both well. This area seems to suffer from an excessive amount of wannabe frauds. But if you've got to do both like me and the bread to pay two schools, come here to Gracie for your bjj and go up to Victory for tkd. They teach in a very straightforward manner, and from sparring with one or two of their best blackbelts, I can say for certain they turn out high-quality strikers.“

“Exceeded expectations at four months into the program. I was one year into kick boxing training at another gym but understood self defense depends more on grappling. So I made the switch to jujitsu at SBJJ with the plan to add SBJJ's muay thai training later. Not only am I learning the gentle art of jujitsu, I've also made substantial gains in physical and mental mental fitness. I thought I was in shape from the kick boxing but quickly learned grappling requires a much higher level of physical fitness. And the increased mental challenge of jujitsu is what makes it addictive. Most importantly, you are safe at SBJJ. There are classes for all skill levels and ages. The instructors challenge you but only as far as you can safely train. When you feel ready, you can train with higher belts and those higher belts will lower their intensity to help you learn from them while avoiding injury.Overall a great experience so far.“

“After being stuck in the house because of Covid I finally felt comfortable with my daughter doing activities. This was such a great decision! The kids have the option to wear masks and there's distancing. My daughter does not like to miss a day at all! Everyone is super welcoming. Carmen is so sweet and friendly. She's one of the ladies that does registration. She allowed us to test the waters first before making a decision. And she was very accommodating making sure I had all the info and giving us a smooth transition in.“
