Northwest Florida Community Hospital is an amazing hospital with very caring, generous, and dedicated staff. The nurses are incredibly nice, helpful, informative, and highly skilled with great bedside manner. Doctors are extremely diligent, attentive, and do everything they can to help. The staff is overall fantastic, often overly attentive, and goes above and beyond for patients. They listen, do not run unnecessary tests, and are respectful about discharge. While acknowledging human moments, the overwhelming experience is positive. The hospital knows its limitations for critical cases and stabilizes patients for transfer, but its capabilities should not be underestimated. It is a wonderful place with fantastic people, highly recommended by patients.
I’m sure people have had bad experiences here, it’s a hospital. Let’s face it you aren’t going here for a spa day. I’ve never had a bad experience the nurses and doctors are all incredibly nice, helpful and informative. They have great bedside manner and to be honest some are overly attentive. I’ve had the occasional grumpy nurse from time to time but my gosh you have to remember they deal with things on a daily basis that most of us deal with only a few times in a lifetime. You may be calling them in as a patient they have come to care for has passed. Hospital staff are humans just like every one else. The other thing I find nice is they don’t run constant and unnecessary test and they don’t want to keep you admitted forever. They listen to you, if you feel like you are well enough to go home and they agree they don’t try to find ways to convince you to stay longer just for the money. Overall I highly recommend this hospital. If you are critical of course they know their limitations and get you as stable as possible and get you to a larger facility, don’t underestimate their capabilities by the size of the building. It’s the people and their dedication and determination that count.
