Dr. Kassover is a wonderful doctor but my husband and I can no longer deal with the office. The phones are never answered, the staff is unhelpful and disinterested. My son (not a patient as his prior doctor left the state) needed some follow up care for pneumonia. My entire family are patients of Dr. Kassover and we asked for some help. Nothing, just rude replies on the portal. I understand the fact that he was not a patient but I thought maybe we could get help from anyone of the doctors. By the way, they only want their patients to use the portal but that, also, doesn't work very well. I am now looking for a real medical practice. Wish me luck!

Once again, we've had a horrible experience at the Intercoastal Medical Group Lakewood Ranch location lab department. This morning, December 13, 2023, my mother had a 10 o'clock lab appointment. Long story short, we ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes past our appointment time watching everybody who walked in after us being called to the lab. We went up to the window to discuss this with the front office staff. We were curtly told that my mother's paperwork was back with the ladies taking the blood, "They will call you in the order that they deem necessary." We were only concerned because it's happened before where my mother's paperwork mysteriously disappeared and we waited nearly an hour to be called in for the lab only to discover the front desk never passed on the paperwork or it got lost somewhere. Mom's concern was rudely dismissed, with the front desk ladies telling her to "sit down and wait your turn in line." Mom was finally called back to the lab by a short woman with short hair and a Spanish accent. Mom said the woman gave her a quizzical look... perhaps because we dared to inquire about my mom's place in line? My mom thought maybe she didn't know who she was, so she gave the woman her name, and she replied in a huff, "I KNOW." She then stated that my mother's appointment was at 11 o'clock and my mother said "no, it is 10 o'clock, I have a little card from intercoastal showing 10 o'clock on December 13, 2023 lab appointment." My mom proceeded to say she wouldn't have taken an 11 o'clock appointment because she would've had to fast all morning and she jokingly said "I would've died of hunger". This incredibly unprofessional Intercoastal Medical Group employee then proceeded to school my mother about hunger and how she's "fasting herself since she's so busy and didn't have time to eat", and how my mother "can take a day without eating!" My 82-year-old mother is a victim of WW2; she and her family suffered greatly including the father's murder, displacement and hunger... my mother didn't need a lesson in hunger. The audacity of this supposed professional was unbelievable. The Lakewood Ranch Intercoastal Medical Group front desk staff in the lab department and this short woman with the short hair with a Spanish accent who draws blood were disrespectful, rude, condescending and downright unprofessional. Attention Intercoastal Medical Group owners: the level of unprofessionalism demonstrated today by the lab worker and lab front office staff, December 13, 2023 at the Lakewood Ranch location is RUINING YOUR REPUTATION AND YOUR BUSINESS. We are looking elsewhere for medical care as we have had ENOUGH of your front office staff and lab workers.

Awful. You will NEVER get anyone on the phone. I was left a message the Friday before a Monday appt canceling me and not rescheduling. I called back within 20 min and held for over an hour until the office closed. Never got ahold of anyone. Had to drive over to get any answers. Rude staff. Stay away
