They can give you a much better warranty that holds within the Certainteed network.
I hated shopping for a roof. I got 10 quotes some over $10,000 for a tiny roof. I painfully found my top two and started asking questions. Company B who was not Eagle Roofing did not return my calls. The owner of Eagle Roofing, Kevin called me after I had asked some serious questions to his wife. Kevin took almost a half hour if not more to answer my questions and get me completely comfortable with what I was about to pay for. No question went unanswered. He was so pleasant and I apologized a few times about my many questions but he didn’t mind and understood why I was asking. The roof I was having put on was for a rental and I was unable to be there for the day of install. The crew took pictures at my request each step of the way and even did some things free of charge. Needing a roofer many times in my profession I am extremely happy with the service and quality received. It was worth the 4 week search effort. I now know I can just call Eagle next time and get on my way. I am beyond relieved that I found them. Thank you again Eagle Roofing!
